What can the AI assistant actually do with my data?
Read it and answer questions about it. Eight read-only tools cover orders, accounts and ledgers, products, 34 reports, dashboard KPIs, and master data. It cannot place an order, edit a record, change settings, manage API keys, or touch billing — those tools are not part of the connector.
Is my data safe if I connect an AI assistant?
The connection is read-only and locked to your workspace: cross-organisation reads are structurally impossible, and the key is revocable in one click with effect on the next request. The part worth deciding deliberately is that your assistant sends the data it reads to whichever AI provider it runs on — Anthropic for Claude, whoever Cursor is set up against. That is your tool and your provider relationship, so check it against your policy before connecting customer or pricing data.
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No. Generate a key in the dashboard and paste one config block into your AI tool. The dashboard produces the snippet with your key already in it. Nothing to install and no server to run.
Which AI tools does this work with?
Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Cursor are documented and tested. Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol and can launch a local server will work — it is an open protocol, not a SpireStock-specific one.
Does this cost extra?

Can I limit which of my team can do this?
Yes. Only workspace admins can create keys, and every key is listed with its creation date and last use, revocable at any time. A key issued for AI tools appears alongside your other integration keys.
